Registration For National Skills Registry Steps To Follow

The National Skills Registry (NSR) is an initiative by the major trade association of IT & BPO industry - the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM). It is a national-level database entailing factsheet of career information and background-check reports of each professional working in the industry. To avail the NSR advantages, professionals and companies must undergo an NSR registration process which is made simple by efficient services by Alankit Limited, a leading e-Governance service provider in India.

The NSR is set-up & managed by NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML) on behalf of NASSCOM. It provides secure identity for professionals and helps in driving speedier HR processes based on background checks. With prompt support from Alankit, professionals can make NSR registration online and get assistance for Biometric Registration with Point of Service (POS). Alankit sets down simplified, easy-to-follow procedures for registration.

Guide to register with NSR

The NSR registration involves creating a user profile on NSR website and secondly registering fingerprints data at POS. Applicants should visit the official website of Alankit Limited or approach Alankit representative through a phone call. They will be given prompt assistance for creation of their profile on NSR.

Step 1: Open a web browser preferably Internet Explorer (IE) or Google Chrome and visit the NSR website.

Step 2: Click on the icon that says ''register''. Users will be redirected to a new page where all required details are provided. Go through the link ''terms & conditions governing your registration and usage of the system (please read).'' Click on ''I agree'' and ''Submit'' button.

Step 3: Users, making NSR registration online, will be redirected to a new page where they must select one out of three options viz. My Present Employer, My Future Employer and Registering at my own.

Step 4: Fill in personal details viz. name, DOB, gender, present address, permanent address, mobile number, email id, etc.

Step 5: Fill the password information section with utmost care, chose the hint question and enter a secret answer. The login ID must be greater than 5 letters. Carefully fill the Login and Transaction passwords, both should not be the same.

Step 6: Enter the word verification and click ‘Save & Continue’. Users must remember their Acknowledge number which will be generated during NSR registration.

Step 7: Fill educational details and then click ‘submit and view’ to verify if the information entered is correct.

Step 8: Click on the button ‘Continue your registration by doing the payment’ after which the registration amount and payment mode will be displayed in next page. The payment can be made online or at the POS (Point of Service).

Step 9: Finally, you will receive the ITP Web Registration Acknowledgement Form. Print this form that is needed to make payment at POS.

Step 10: Attach your photo and provide your signature in the Acknowledgement Form.

Step 11: After completing NSR registration online, carry the form to nearest Alankit POS along with a photo identity proof viz. Aadhar card, Pan card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, etc.

Step 12: Submit your fingerprint data at Alankit POS. Users will receive their ITPIN on their registered email id and will get their card within 20 days.
